What's Up With Hip Hop Abs?

If you're a regular reader of this blog, I'm sure you've figured out that I'm in love with music and dancing. I have it so bad that one "must have" for my wedding ceremony and funeral (no, I really don't see them as the same thing) is a choreographed dance routine.

Anyway, part of my exercise routine is dancing (of course). Knowing this, a friend of mine gave me the Hip Hop Abs series:
4 routines: Secrets To Flat Abs, Fat Burning Cardio, Ab Sculpt and Total Body Burn
Success Tools: Step by Step Nutrition Guide, 30 day Nutrition Calendar, Hips, Buns and Thighs, Results On The Run Diet Guide, 6 Day Slim Down Plan and Measurement Card w/Tape Measure
3 Full Hip Hop Dance Routines: Take It To The Dance Floor (check it out below), Hip Hop Groove and Last Minute Dance

I have to tell you that I laughed when she told me that she wasn't able to get the moves and it was just too much work for her (I don't know but me personally I would have made it work seeing that it currently costs approximately $75). I took that as a challenge. I popped in the first DVD (Secrets To Flat Abs) and was pleasantly surprised although I thought it was a bit short (only 13 minutes). From there (since I was feeling revved up and rearing to go), I went on a Hip Hop Abs spree! I loved it! Not only was it NOT hard (and it's not even because I'm a great dancer) but it was easy to follow along. I actually had to stop a couple times and go back because it was inspiring...I was adding my own moves. To say it was fun would be a bit of an understatement. I was sweating before I knew it and still smiling. Now that's a great workout! You'll definitely learn a few "club worthy" dance moves from this series. Go ahead, grab your Exercise Gear and get it started!

Hmmm! Yes, I must say the workout is motivating. I saw the informercial and I said "I must have that" I have a left injured knee and I was still able to do it, sweat through it and love every minute of it! What's up with Shaun T man? He is oki doki some! Awesome! Best of all, the first session is under 30 minutes, perfect for when you have over eaten at lunch (which is what I did just today, and was still able to get a great workout without a belly ache!) Gotta run, keep up th good work at the blog!

I recently had surgery and found that my beach body had turned into a beach ball! I show hip hop abs on tv and thought I would give it a try.Take it from an ex-dancer who is BORED silly with regular cardio classes...THIS WORKOUT IS OFF THE CHARTS! I am addicted to the total body workout. It is 45 minutes but you will be saying "is it over already?" I start with a warm up that I created on my own. Next I move on to the last minute abs dvd for a good prep. Next, it is 45 minutes of fun. Have lost pounds but more importantly...INCHES.I strongly recommend=)

I can't believe I'm actually submitting one of those "rah-rah" testimonials, but these workouts have accomplished what I would have thought nearly impossible. With four active kids and a crazy schedule, finding time for meaningful exercise was nearly impossible. Not so with this workout regimine. Like the others, I have lost pounds and inches in weeks. I look forward to my 25-40 minutes of daily exercise. Now I'm just waiting for the next release of Hip Hop Abs videos!

I didn't think i'd be able to follow the steps so quick but to my surprise it came pretty easily and it really is alot of fun. You sweat and have fun without even realising it! i've only been using it for about 2 weeks and the results are really noticeable already. Hip hop abs is crazyyy

I received hip hop abs from a friend but she didn't have all the extras with it (lost them in a move). I just started it yesterday and thought it was tons of fun.

I can't dance at all (a little ballet when I was lots younger but that's it)and it was still really easy to follow.

The only thing I am concerned with is I'm not really sure which exercise I should focus more on. Which do you do everyday or most often?

Yes, this workout is something you won't find anywhere else. Shaun T is exciting and upbeat, and you know he's going to keep you entertained and laughing throughout the whole workout. I got this dvd hoping to achieve my goal of shedding excess body fat from places like the midsection, inner thighs, and love handles. I've tried other things, but this is the only core work exercise that does it all! Not only do you burn calories, but you burn that stubbon excess fat as well. This dvd is truly a miracle, and the dance moves never get old!

I gained 50 lbs while pregnant with my Daughter. Much to my shock she was only a 5 lb baby when she came out, which in turn made me feel horrible about my weight gain. I tried everything from "Bounce back after baby" to Pilates and nothing ever stuck. ENTER Hip hop abs...I love it!! Although I didnt see the pounds falling off like I thought I would however I did see inches being shed. My Pre-pregnancy weight was 125 lbs after pregnancy I was 160 lbs!! I did hip hop abs and still do and happily tipping the scales at 150 lbs but what is better is I went from a 42" waist after the birth of my child to a 31" toned waist!! In a matter of 3 months! All I did was the Cardio work out once a day 7 days a week and Ab Sculpt every seccond day after the cardio. I didnt even change my diet!

I've got the INSANITY DVDs but would really love to find the "Results on the Run" book without having to buy another set of DVDs. Does anyone know where I can find just the book? I've searched online but have come up with zilch so far. Thanks workout friends!

I have been off work now for months with neck problems. I was gaining weight and starting to get depressed till I found Hip Hop Abs. I must say it's only been a week but I have my energy back and it doesn't bother my neck. Cheers to all of you who did post on this. It's nice to find something that works, is fun and motivating and boy, can you sweat during this workout!!Bye Bye Eliptacle machine :-)

I absolutely LOVE doing the hip hop abs! I was doing the Insanity by him and that as well is amazing - however, with my injuries from a car accident, the intense plyometrics, sadly, is just to much for my body right now, but I did the full two months and got great results! I decided that I'd go ahead and give the hip hop abs a try - I actually bought the set a couple years ago, did it for about a week and then stopped, not really sure why! I started doing hot yoga (which is amazzinnggg!!) and decided I wanted to do something fun to get a great work out as well... I can't seem to find where I put the calender for which dvd to do on what day - SO, I decided to be crazy and just do ALL of the videos in one sitting - everyday! It's amazing - I'm getting so toned and I just feel so good and honestly, I don't feel like I'm working out for over two hours because I'm having so much fun.. It really just flys by! I def recommend this to anyone! You will LOVE it! I have injuries that have prevented me from doing the activities I love and I can still do this! You will love it, I promise!

Good working out everyone!! =)
